We took a wrong turn and found this hidden gem! It's a little hole in wall like a mom and pop restaurant. R is half Filipino so he always knows what to order. We got the garlic rice and lechon kawali. They were both very tasty! BUT what really made me smile was their halo halo! Yums! It had jack fruit pieces at the bottom and I think it was toasted rice crispies on top! We really haven't seen any Filipino restaurants around here so it was a treat!
We were invited to have lunch here today with friends. First and foremost, there is ample parking since it is in a plaza. The restaurant is not hard to find. Our group ordered: kare kare -- you do not even need to eat this with bagoong. It is very good by itself. I don't eat kare kare unless it is my dad's or aunt's cooking (recipe from my grandma), but I will eat this. Adobong pusit -- a little salty for me, but everyone in our group liked it. Bangus sisig -- made to perfection! I could probably finish the entire fish by myself. Lumpiang Shanghai --your typical lumpia. Pakbet -- very flavorful. The bitter melon (ampalaya) was not bitter at all. We also ordered chicken adobo and sotanghon noodles with veggies. I did not get to try these, but everyone said they are good as well. All the food that we ordered was very flavorful. The food here did not disappoint. The bathrooms were also clean and properly maintained. The service was great. The place was somewhat busy when we got there at 1230pm. I have 2 complaints though. First is that this place only accepts cash or venmo for payment. Second, when you dine in, they give you paper plates, plastic utensils and plastic cups instead of using the real ones. Why? None the less, we will definitely be back if we are in the area.
I highly recommend this Filipino restaurant. They have big servings, a little pricey but worth it cause they served great foods parang home cook kaya babalik balikan. Their staff are super nice too.
Super friendly staff. Super tasty food. Super great value! Their SISIG is absolutely the showstopper for this establishment. I drive 40 mins to get my fix. It's also a party favorite so I absolutely advise you ordering one for your next party! My kids enjoyed their breakfast for linner. Their tocino is my kids' favorite. Random compliment here, but my toddler used the bathroom and said "this is very clean mommy, they did a good job cleaning" lol. I had to share it with the staff behind the counter and that made them smile.
The quality of the food is sooooo good! It tastes super home made and the portions are so good for the price (affordable). I recommend: - Kare Kare - Bistek - Pancit Bihon - Lumpia Shanghai Best in the area. Don't let the stars fool you. I have no idea what that is about. Make the decision for yourself!
Wow, I must say. The food is delicious. The flavor and texture are superb. Most of the time, I'm adding some sauce to it. This time, there was no need. It's just the right combination. The catering service was a great experience. So friendly and kind. Is like home sweet home feeling. The hospitality is to the roof. So, thank you for the outstanding and quality service provided. The music played was excellent. Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my ways of describing things don't please you. Take a look at some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are, Main: 1. LUMPIA 2. LECHON BELLY 3. SISIG 4. BIHON PANCIT 5. CALDERATA 6. TAPSILOG Overall experience was interesting and wonderful. The food was very delicious. Love the Lechon Belly, so crispy and tender all in one bite. Just a great experience. I definitely recommend this location due to their outstanding customer service experience. Very clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is spacious and easy access. They have a restroom for your convenience. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience. P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!
My favorite Filipino spot! Stumbled across this location years ago when I would go to a near by boutique years ago. I always get their Shanghai Lumpia here and paired with their sweet and sour sauce, it's the best!! I tried their Miki Pancit Bihon this time and it was super flavorful. It comes with tons of veggies and fishball. Parking is shared amongst other stores in the plaza but there's plenty. Service is always great! I was having issues with the payment method and they were patient and kind enough to wait without rushing me. Upon walking it, it feels very homey like with the television playing shows and movies in Tagalog with aunties/uncles casually hanging out to grab good eats! **They accept cash or venmo.
Food was so good but the customer service was slow. You pay at the counter for dine-in as well. Tip: CASH ONLY. I would call beforehand to reserve a table. You're seated once you check in at the cashier. If you're not a big fan of waiting, I would probably come here during non-busy hours. Parking: It's located in a big plaza, there will be plenty of spaces to park. Service: Was a little on the slower side. It seems that there's not enough staff to help with table service, phone and pick up. They have a variation of tables for groups of 2, 4, 6 up to a big table that can seat around 10-12 people. Food: This is my first time trying a Kamayan. My group ordered the boodle fight came with rice, fried fish, a side of fruit salad (cucumber, green mango, tomato, white onion), Cajun shrimp and mussels, Pork egg rolls, watermelon, and grilled eggplant. I would say just eating the boodle fight itself will keep you full. You can request gloves and water cups at the counter. But we also ordered additional sides to share. Ala Carte: Sisig Plate is full of crunchy pork (chicharron), chopped onions, and zucchini so delicious! Would definitely recommend that everyone try and pair it with a plate of rice. Binagoongan is very salty because it's mixed in with shrimp paste. It's a marinated pink pork dish. It's best if you have a good amount of rice on the side to pair up and eat this dish. Sinigang soup (white onion, spinach, eggplant, and pork) has a Tamarind sour flavor to it that reminds me of Tom Yum soup. I would recommend it to those who love to eat sour soup.
